Nomad Greenland

YOUR DOORWAY TO UNTOUCHED GREENLAND

REDEFINING HOW WE

CONNECT WITH NATURE

Strung along the shallow, heather-clad cliffs of Nuuk Fjord, an extraordinary treasure awaits. Sstate-of-the-art sleeping tupiqs (Greenlandic tents) all look toward the horizon. Smoke curls upward from the dining tupiq filling the air with the smell of freshly grilled fish and the woody scent of herbs. A cork pops as a humpback whale breaches the water. A white-tailed eagle circle overhead. Your perception of life on earth shifts almost imperceptibly, and changes you forever.

LOW IMPACT LUXURY

Open for just four months of the year, from June to September, Kiattua is designed to minimize its impact on its beautiful and fragile surroundings. It is limited to a maximum of 12 people at any given time, and we work closely with the local community to ensure that everyone benefits from our being there.

TRULY PERSONALIZED

On arrival at Kiattua, you will be met by your Nomad host. Part guide, part concierge, part companion, their job is to keep you safe while providing deep access to your surroundings. Whether you want to learn about foraging for wild plants, have always dreamed of stepping onto an ice floe, want to know more about Inuit folklore or dream of seeing the ice-cap, our expert hosts will help you plan a tailor-made itinerary individually adapted to suit your mood, ability and the weather.

EXTRA
ORDINARILY SECLUDED

Surrounded by mountains that are 3.8 billion years old, on a shallow bay hidden away in the second largest fjord system in the world, and a two-day walk from the nearest village, Kiattua is immersed in nature. For hundreds of years, when the hunting was good, it was where nomadic Greenlandic Inuit would spend their summers. In its new incarnation, we redefine off-grid luxury while honoring the past.

HOLISTIC, SUSTAINABLE, NURTURING

As far as possible, we source everything locally, from the food you eat, to the water you drink, to the way you bathe. As well as eco-toilets and hot running water in the showers, Kiattua features a sauna tent and hot-tub filled with mineral rich glacial water for a relaxing soak overlooking the fjord.
